Ecommerce major Amazon has introduced new same day delivery options in Toronto and Vancouver in order to expand its reach in Canada.

Online shopping turns easy with the new service, as customers will now be able to receive packages before 9 p.m. the same day even when they place orders as late as noon.

The service will be available every day, even during the weekends, the company informed.

Members of Amazon's Prime service can avail the pick-up service at a flat fee of $6.99 per-order, with no additional shipping costs.

The non-members will be charged $11.99 for each shipment and $1.99 cost for most items individually.

Amazon.ca country manager Alexandre Gagnon said: "We're constantly working to speed up delivery times and introduce new services that make our customers' lives easier.

"With Same-Day Delivery, customers in Toronto and Vancouver can conveniently take care of errands or complete holiday shopping in a day with just a few clicks, receive orders seven days a week and have what they need delivered to their home in a matter of hours.
